The deal
OddlyJobs is a free board where Upstate neighbors find each other for small jobs. I'm Matt Ebersole, a real person in Greer, SC, and I run it. By using it you agree to these terms.
Board rules
- Be a real neighbor. Use a real name (first name and last initial is fine). No spam, no scams, no pretending to be someone else.
- Post real jobs and real offers. Nothing illegal, nothing hateful, nothing you wouldn't pin to a church bulletin board.
- What you post is yours; the board shows it. I may take down posts or accounts that break these rules.
Work between neighbors
When you pick someone or get picked, the deal is between the two of you. OddlyJobs doesn't handle the money, takes no cut, and isn't a party to the job. OddlyJobs doesn't run background checks; a done job is a record, not a guarantee.
The $500 line
In South Carolina, construction-type repair work over $500 in labor and materials generally needs a registered or licensed contractor (SC LLR). Don't use OddlyJobs to get around that.
Desktop apps
Books, Clients and Work are free to download and use, provided as is, without warranty.
Liability
OddlyJobs isn't liable for what happens between neighbors. You're responsible for your own decisions and your own work.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes too.
